Hospital Exterior with NABH Certification

Train Where the Patients Are

Bhatnagar Hospital - 150 beds, 40 years of operation, run by physicians the region knows

Our students don't observe healthcare on inspection days. They participate in it - every week, from second semester onwards, in wards that are full because the hospital was here long before the college.

A Hospital That Existed Before the College Did

Every nursing program is required to provide clinical training. The difference is what's actually happening in the wards on a Tuesday afternoon.

Bhatnagar Hospital was founded 40 years ago by Dr. Bhatnagar - the first MD in Roorkee - as the physical home of a practice that began even earlier, in a small clinic next to the railway station. It has served the Roorkee–Haridwar region continuously since: thousands of OPD patients, in-patient admissions, surgeries, deliveries, and ICU cases every year.

When our nursing students walk into the wards, those wards are full. The ICU is monitoring real critical patients. The OPD has lines of patients who came because they trust the doctors. The labour room delivers babies. This is what clinical training was always meant to mean.

We don't have to bring patients in for inspection visits. They come because the hospital has been here, doing real work, for two generations.

150 Working Beds

Full-time admissions, ICU, OPDs, OTs, and labor rooms - operating daily, not just on paper.

A Team of Specialists

Cardiology, neonatology, anesthesiology, angiography, surgery - full-time consultants who treat patients here every day.

40 Years of Trust

A reputation in the region that pre-dates any educational program - and explains why patients keep coming.

Who You'll Learn From

Dr. Bhatnagar

Founder · MD (Medicine) · Cardiologist · Faculty, IMA continuing education

The first MD in Roorkee, with 45 years of clinical practice. Known regionally for diagnostic work in cardiology, diabetes, and infectious diseases (including the largest TB caseload in the area). Active in ward rounds and case discussions.

Dr. Sandhya Bhatnagar

Pediatrician · Past President, Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP)

Leads the neonatology lab and pediatric care. National-level recognition through IAP leadership. Mentors students through pediatric rotations and NICU exposure.

Dr. Arpit Tomar

Interventional Cardiologist · Angiography

Performs angiographic procedures at Bhatnagar Hospital. Students observing cardiac care rotations get exposure to real interventional cardiology workflow.

Anesthesiology & ICU Team

Led by Dr. Anil and team

The ICU is one of the strongest in the region - full ventilator capability, monitored beds, and active critical-care management. Critical-care nursing rotations happen on real patients.

You leave skilled, not just certified.

When our graduates apply to NABH-accredited hospitals - in Delhi NCR, Dehradun, Gurgaon, or the Gulf - they don't have to relearn nursing on the job. The skill is built over years of daily practice on real patients, supervised by physicians whose names mean something in this region.
